Ms. Marie Holloway

Graveside service for Ms. Marie Holloway will be held at 1:00 PM EST, Sunday January 19, 2025 at Pine Hill Cemetery, 2167 22nd ST. SW Lanett, AL., with Rev. Leonard Autry officiating.

Public visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM EST at Morgan & Sons Funeral Home in Lanett, AL.

Ms. Marie Holloway was born to the late Mr. Anderson Holloway and

Ms. Mary Roberts on June 4, 1926, in Chambers County, Alabama. She gained her wings into eternal rest on January 14, 2025, at her residence in Austell (Atlanta) Georgia.

She received her formal education in the public school system of Chambers County. In her early years, she was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in LaFayette, Alabama, and would often worship at Pilgrim Baptist in Lanett.

She was preceded in death by four sons: Willie James Holloway, Richard

Holloway, Clifford Holloway and Larry Lamar Holloway. Two daughters: Brenda Faye Holloway and Lorraine Holloway.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children; Bobby Lee Shedrick and Jacqueline Annette Holloway, both of Lanett, AL, Eddie Charles Holloway of Charlotte, NC and Nick (Sharon) Holloway of Austell (Atlanta) GA. 16 grandchildren; Angela Holloway, Trishon Glaze, Yulandria Holloway, Centerria Holloway, Jacqueline Holloway, Tashawna Holloway, Jawonka Holloway and Kenika Holloway; Christopher Holloway, Terrance Glaze, Nicholas Holloway, Deshay Holloway, Orenthal Glaze, Demetrius (Kimberly) Holloway, Marco Holloway and Roderick Holloway. 37 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and a host of extended family, cousins and friends.
