Morgan & Sons Funeral Home is a 3rd generation family owned and operated funeral home. In 1932, three cousins Lonnie Morgan Sr., Reverend O.B. Slaughter, and James Burton founded Burton-Morgan-Slaughter Funeral Home. During the late 1940s, Lonnie Morgan Sr. acquired sole ownership and established Morgan’s Funeral Home. 

Morgan’s Funeral Home was owned and operated by Lonnie Morgan Sr., his wife Ruby Morgan, and his two sons Lonnie Morgan Jr. and Leon Morgan. 

In 1965, Lonnie Morgan Sr. passed away and the business was carried on by Ruby Morgan, Lonnie Morgan Jr., and Leon Morgan with Mrs. Morgan leading the way. In 1984, Ruby Morgan passed away and Lonnie Morgan Jr. became the operating manager. He and Leon decided to rename Morgan’s Funeral Home to Morgan & Sons Funeral Home. Lonnie Morgan Jr. was the operating manager until his death in 2004 and Leon assumed the role until his death in 2019. 

Morgan & Sons Funeral Home is currently owned and operated by the son and daughter of the late Lonnie Morgan Jr. ; Lonnie Morgan III and Jessica Morgan. Lonnie(Trey) and Jessica are continuing to carry on the family legacy of serving the community with love, dignity, integrity, and compassion.
