Ms. Annie Laura Reed

Ms. Annie Laura Reed, 88, of Lanett, Alabama entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 6, 2021 at her residence. She was born on a beautiful sunny day Sunday June 25, 1933, in Chambers County Alabama to the late Collis and Alice Reed.

She was preceded in death by her daughter: Martha Reed; son: Richard Lewis Reed; parents: Collis and Alice Reed; siblings: Collis Reed Jr., James Reed, Clifford Reed, Will Eva Hammond, Helen Wright, and Myrtis Reed.

She attended Goodsell United Methodist Church in her early years; however, in 1982 she was united in the Body of Christ at North 13th Avenue Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. Robert Ellison.

Ms. Annie Laura Reed leaves to cherish her precious memories, three sons: James Rufus Reed Jr. (Patricia), Charlie Frank Reed (Willeen) both of Lanett, AL, and Curtis Reed of West Point, GA; six daughters: Sherry Reed Houston, Cleveland, OH; Mary Reed, Lanett, AL; Sarah Reed Coleman, Valley, AL; Patricia Cistrunk (Daron), Gulfport, MS; Merleen Reed, Douglasville, GA; and Christy Walker, Montgomery, AL; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Public viewing will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. EST, Friday August 13, 2021 at Morgan & Sons Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. EST, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Pine Hill Cemetery (2167 22nd ST. SW Lanett, AL) with Bro. Robert Ellison officiating.
