Funeral service for Mr. Aaron Andrews, 71, of Lanett, AL will be held at 1:00 pm EST Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Lanett Church of Christ 706 South 13th St. Lanett, AL with interment in Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery 3405 Country Club Rd. Lanett, AL. Brother Mac Arthur Cooper will officiate.
Mr. Aaron Andrews was born on November 8, 1951 to the late Ms. Leola Leodale and Mr. Milford Andrews Sr. in Lanett, Alabama. He received his formal education at Lanier High School in Lanett, Al where he graduated in the class of 1970.
He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his favorite football team, the Auburn Tigers, and watching his Westerns. On the Sunday morning of June 18, 2023, the Lord dispatched His angels to claim one of His own from labor to rest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leola Leodale and Milford Andrews Sr, his sister, Mary Dyer, his brother Ralph McLemore and his sister-in-law Barbara Andrews.
He leaves to cherish his memories, The Love of His Life, Geraldine Strickland, Valley, Al; One son, Larry (Haregwoyn Ashakew) Huguley, Washington D.C.; Three daughters, Lashanta (McKenneth) Cooks, Lanett, AL; Tanya Andrews, Lanett, Alabama; Janneka Patten, Pocono, PA; and a bonus daughter, Tiffanee Strickland; Lilburn, GA. Twelve Grandchildren, Shantanda Winston, Valley, AL; Porche (David) Murry, Douglasville, GA; Tonedric (Vershona) Andrews, Lanett, AL; Russell Marshall Jr., Lanett, AL; LaRaven Huguley, Lanett, AL; Serkeith (Aleeshia) Huguley, West Point, GA; Zanquanarious Washington, Lanett AL; Dejon Weston, Troy AL; Deshaun Dabney, Pocono, PA; Quentrear Meadows, Washington, D.C.; Neveah Dabney, Pocono, PA; Amen Larry, Washington D.C.; and bonus granddaughter, Addison Jayeoba. Seventeen Great- Grandchildren, four siblings, Willie Andrews Atlanta, Georgia; Milford (Catherine) Andrews, Jackson Township New Jersey; Yolanda Vines Lanett, Alabama; Teresa (Grady) Billingslea Lanett, Alabama. One sister-in-law Mabel McLemore Dover, Delaware. One Aunt Mattie Walker Lanett, Alabama, four siblings accepted as his own, Allee Todd, Arthur (Helen) Walker and Sharon Brooks, One God Sister Veronica Paige, A host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from
1:00 – 6:00 pm EST at Morgan & Sons Funeral Home in Lanett.
His body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
